I ordered my tabs online or via mail and have not received what do I do?

You can stop into our office for a new set.  There may be an additional duplication fee of $12.50

You can contact DVS directly to have a new set mailed to you. 


I’ve lost my title to my car and want to sell it, what do I need to do?

Stop into our office with your ID and we can print a new Minnesota title on the spot.  The fee is $20.50


I sold my vehicle and am now getting tickets, is there anything I can do with the DMV?

Yes.  You can stop in with the tear-off stub that was on the title that provides us with the date of sale and the new buyers’ information.  Or you can file the report of sale on DVS website: https://onlineservices.dps.mn.gov/


Is insurance required for renewing my tabs or purchasing a new vehicle?  

Yes, Company name, Policy number, and expiration date of your vehicle insurance.
We need this for all motor vehicles, motorcycles, and motorhomes.


Can I renew my driver’s license at your location?

No, but We can order a duplicate driver’s license if you’ve lost it or address changes.  All renewals need to be done by a full driver’s license agent.

What do I need to transfer an ATV, UTV, snowmobile or off road motorcycle?

If it is registered in Minnesota: we need a bill of sale signed by all current owners. If it is registered in another state: we need a copy of their current out of state registration and bill of sale from the registered owners. If it is new: we need the manufacturer certificate of origin and receipt from the dealer.
